JAC has taken another step toward intelligent mobility with the introduction of the E Sei4, an electric SUV featuring Level 2+ Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The new technology enables the vehicle to automatically control steering, acceleration, and braking in specific driving conditions, providing a safer and more comfortable driving experience.

Although the system offers semi-autonomous capabilities, JAC emphasizes that drivers must remain attentive and ready to take control at any moment, as the technology is designed to assist—not replace—the human driver.

Advanced Driver Assistance

The JAC E Sei4 is equipped with an array of intelligent hardware, including:

  • 24 intelligent sensors
  • Six high-definition cameras
  • Five millimeter-wave radar units
  • Twelve ultrasonic sensors
  • High-precision mapping technology

These components work together to monitor the vehicle’s surroundings, helping it maintain lane position, adjust speed according to traffic conditions, assist with lane changes, and perform intelligent parking maneuvers.

What Does Level 2+ Autonomous Driving Mean?

Level 2+ autonomy allows the vehicle to simultaneously manage steering, acceleration, and braking under certain road conditions. However, the driver must remain engaged at all times, monitoring traffic and being prepared to intervene whenever necessary.

Unlike fully autonomous vehicles, Level 2+ systems are intended to reduce driver workload rather than eliminate human involvement.

Smarter and Safer Mobility

Using a combination of cameras, radar sensors, and high-definition maps, the E Sei4 can detect lanes, nearby vehicles, road curves, speed changes, and traffic signs. This enables features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, traffic-aware speed adjustment, automated lane-change support, and intelligent parking assistance.

These technologies are becoming increasingly common in next-generation electric vehicles as manufacturers focus on improving both safety and convenience.

Looking Ahead

The introduction of the JAC E Sei4 reflects the company’s commitment to expanding its portfolio of intelligent electric vehicles. As demand for advanced driver assistance and connected mobility continues to grow, technologies like Level 2+ autonomy are expected to become standard features in future electric vehicle platforms.

With the E Sei4, JAC joins a growing list of automakers investing in smarter, safer, and more connected transportation solutions.
