Bali, one of Indonesia’s most famous islands, has been named the world’s top travel destination for 2026 by Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards: Best of the Best.
The ranking is based on reviews and ratings shared by travelers over a 12-month period. According to Tripadvisor, Bali moved into the No. 1 position for 2026, ahead of other major global destinations.

Bali is known for its beaches, temples, rice terraces, wellness retreats, surfing spots, and rich cultural traditions.
The island attracts travelers who want more than a simple beach vacation. Many visitors go to Bali for nature, local food, spiritual experiences, photography, adventure, and relaxation.
Popular areas include Ubud, famous for culture and rice fields; Seminyak and Canggu, known for cafés and beach clubs; and Nusa Penida, recognized for its dramatic coastal views.
